Obituary for Jasmine Johnson
1985 - 2012

Jasmine JaVon Johnson, 26 of Independence, Kansas passed away at home on Monday, July 23, 2012. Visitation will be 9:00 am – 8:00 pm with the family receiving friends from 5:00 – 7:00, Friday, August 3, 2012 at Penwell-Gabel Webb & Rodrick Chapel. Funeral Services will be 11:00 am Saturday, August 4, 2012 at the Crystalbrook Church in Independence, Kansas. Reverend Charles Barker will officiate with burial to follow in Mount Hope Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions and may be made to the Schlotman Children Education Fund and may be left with the funeral home.

Jasmine was born on December 10, 1985 in Coffeyville, Kansas to Conway Johnson and Karen Johnson Kinnard. She grew up in Independence, Kansas and graduated high school in Olathe, Kansas. She later moved back to Independence, KS where she met Chris Schlotman and had two beautiful children with him Alalijah Schlotman and Christopher Schlotman.

Those left to cherish Jasmine include her Fiancé Chris Schlotman; two children Alalijah Schlotman Christopher Schlotman all of the home; mother; Karen Kinnard, Independence,KS, father; Conway Johnson, Mineral Wells, TX, one brother; Romal G .Kinnard, Jr., Wichita, KS, a half-sister; Tamara Bruner, Tulsa, OK; one aunt, two uncles, A host of cousins, relatives and friends.
