Curtis L. Cranor, 41, of Lakeland, Florida and former Independence resident, died Sunday at his home in Lakeland.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the Penwell-Gabel Webb & Rodrick Chapel with the Reverend Joe Davolt, pastor of the Bible Holiness Church of Independence, officiating. Interment will be at the Altoona City Cemetery in Altoona, Kansas. Although the casket has been closed, friends may call at the Penwell-Gabel Webb & Rodrick Chapel from 9:00 a.m. until service time on Saturday.
Curtis Loran Cranor was born April 10, 1968 at Neodesha, Kansas, the son of Loran Wesley Cranor and Sally Joyce (Stites) Cranor. At the time of his death he was District Manager of a commercial x-ray company for pipeline and construction in Lakeland.
He was united in marriage to Simone DeJesus and she survives at the home.
Surviving in addition to the widow include: one son, Andrew Cranor of Lakeland, Florida; two daughters, Bethany Cranor of Lakeland, Florida and Cheyenne Cranor of the home; two brothers, Wesley Cranor and Jason Cranor, both of Independence,; his father, Loran Cranor of Independence; his mother Sally; his paternal grandmother, Wilma Cranor of Independence; and his maternal grandmother, Joyce Stites of Fredonia, Kansas.
